Jewellery Care Guide
At TAYLR Jewellery, each piece is designed to be worn, loved, and lived in but like all fine jewellery, it deserves a little care to keep it looking its best.
With the right habits, your jewellery will stay radiant for years to come.
General Care
We recommend treating your jewellery with care during everyday wear. While many of our pieces are designed with durability in mind, exposure to certain elements can naturally affect their finish over time.
To help maintain shine and quality:
- Remove jewellery before showering, swimming, or bathing
- Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hairsprays, and cosmetics
- Take pieces off before exercising or any physical activity
- Store jewellery separately to avoid scratching or tangling
A little extra care goes a long way in preserving the finish of your TAYLR pieces.
Storage
Proper storage is key to keeping your jewellery in perfect condition.
We recommend storing each piece individually in a soft pouch or lined jewellery box. This helps prevent pieces from rubbing against each other, which can cause scratches or dullness over time.
Keep jewellery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Bathrooms are not ideal due to moisture in the air, which can speed up tarnishing in certain metals.
Cleaning Your Jewellery
To keep your jewellery looking fresh, we suggest gentle, regular cleaning.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to lightly polish your pieces after wear. This helps remove natural oils and keeps the shine intact.
For a deeper clean, use lukewarm water with a mild soap and gently wipe with a soft cloth. Always dry thoroughly afterwards before storing.
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths, or silver dips unless specifically recommended, as these can damage delicate finishes.
Wearing Your Jewellery
Jewellery should be the finishing touch to your look not the first thing you put through stress.
We recommend putting your jewellery on last when getting ready and removing it first at the end of the day. This helps protect it from unnecessary exposure to products and friction.
Be mindful when layering pieces, as chains and rings may naturally rub against each other over time.
Gold-Plated & Delicate Finishes
If your TAYLR piece is gold-plated or features a delicate finish, it may require a little extra care.
Gold plating can naturally fade over time depending on wear and lifestyle. This is completely normal and part of the character of plated jewellery.
To extend its life, avoid water exposure wherever possible and store pieces separately when not in use.
